Your Day 1
Tap the situation that sounds most like this week. Your first card lands here.
A 7-day challenge for Christian men is one week of short, daily practice aimed at one real struggle: a passage of Scripture, one action you finish before bed, and a few minutes of silence. It is small on purpose. Seven days is long enough to feel a change and short enough to finish, which is more than most New Year plans manage.
The plans on this page are free and need nothing but a Bible and seven minutes. We wrote them; they are not taken from the app.
Here is how a week like this usually starts. A man in his late thirties has meant to join the men's breakfast at church for two years. It meets at 6:30 on Thursdays across town, and Thursday is the day the site opens early. So he does nothing, and feels vaguely bad about it.
One Monday he picks a situation (his was the temper one), copies the seven days onto a card and puts it by the coffee maker. Day 1 is counting to five before answering anyone at home. He manages it twice. Day 4 is settling one leftover argument before sundown, and that one stings. By Day 7 he asks his wife what she noticed. She says he went quieter, in a good way.
A week of small, specific obedience beats a year of good intentions you never schedule.
This is an illustrative scenario, not a customer story.
Same three parts, same time, seven days: the structure does the remembering for you.
Pick a situation at the top of the page and your whole week appears here, ready to print or copy onto a card.
| Situation | Day 1 passage | Day 7 action |
|---|---|---|
| My phone runs my evenings | 1 Corinthians 6:12 | Pick the one rule you will keep for the next 30 days. |
| I snap at people I love | James 1:19-20 | Ask your wife or a friend what they noticed this week. |
| I don't know how to pray | Luke 11:1 | Pray one plain sentence at breakfast, lunch and bedtime. |
| Work fear is eating me | Joshua 1:9 | List three things this week that went better than you feared. |
| I want to lead my kids better | Deuteronomy 6:6-7 | Tell your kids one thing you got wrong this week. |
| I've drifted from God | 1 Timothy 4:7-8 | Ask God, in plain words, what week two should look like. |
We make FORGED, a 90-day Bible plan for men that uses the same three-part day: a Body challenge, one passage in plain English for Mind, and a 3, 5 or 10-minute prayer timer for Spirit. Inside it are six 7-day Focus Forges (Discipline, Prayer, Courage, Self-control, Focus and Fatherhood), which are the in-app version of what this page does by hand.
Free vs premium, plainly: Day 1, Bible Basics, Bible Words, the What Do You Need? protocols, Sermon Notes and a daily verse are free. Days 2 to 90 and the Focus Forges are FORGED Premium, which is monthly, annual or a one-time lifetime purchase. The plan on this page stays free.

A design call we made: we let a missed day cost nothing. Your stones and armor stay. Men quit plans out of shame more often than out of laziness, so we took the shame out.
One limit: FORGED is iPhone only and quotes only the World English Bible. If you want an audio Bible or a group chat, a broader Bible app will suit you better.
One that fits the fight you are actually in. A week works best when every day has the same three parts: one short passage, one concrete action you can finish before bed, and a few minutes of silence. Pick one situation above and keep the plan for all seven days.
Ask your church office or men's ministry first: many churches run 30-day men's challenges in January or Lent, often announced only in the bulletin. If nothing is running near you, do this 7-day plan with one friend and text each other the day number each night.
About seven minutes: two to read the passage, a couple to plan the action, three of silence. Days 5 to 7 stretch the silence to five minutes. The action itself happens during your normal day.
No, but it helps. One man who gets a one-line text each night (“Day 4 done”) is enough. You do not need a group, a leader or a workbook.
Do that day tomorrow and keep going. A 7-day challenge that takes nine days still did its job.
Day 1, Bible Basics, the Bible Words glossary, the What Do You Need? protocols, Sermon Notes and a daily verse are free. Days 2 to 90, the six 7-day Focus Forges and the armor progression are FORGED Premium (monthly, annual or one-time lifetime), as the App Store listing says.
Every quotation on this page is word for word from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. FORGED quotes the same translation.
Finish this week on paper. If you want the next 83 days built for you, Day 1 of FORGED costs nothing.
